Six days later, he returns, with a strange voice in his head that tells him to build a treehouse in the woods before Christmas, or the town will never be the same.

By the same author of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, this book is an incredible read. Well fleshed out in both plot and characters, it's a long read but it's absolutely worth it.

When they discover that their landlord has refused to renew their lease, which will force them to leave, they quickly decide that it is up to the five of them to show their landlord how important it is to them - and just what they are willing to do to ensure that they can stay!

I have truly loved this entire series so far (6 books at this point!), and each of the five kids have a wonderful, distinct personality that shines through all of the capers that they will face! They also seem so very endearing - and they gather an entire neighborhood around them, willing to be included in some of their plans as well!

The Last to Vanish by Megan Miranda

Cutter's Pass is known as the most dangerous place in North Carolina ever since a group of four friends disappeared years ago. More people have vanished in the intervening years, including the most recent, a journalist who was investigating the missing. Now the journalist's brother shows up, looking for clues at the inn where Abby works. She tries to help him, and they uncover a flash drive tucked away in the cabin the journalist used. The story is told from Abby's point of view, and readers will appreciate her insights into the town, its residents and its visitors. The action really picks up in the second half!

In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer

Title: In a New York Minute

Author: Kate Spencer

Genre: Romance

This is a modern rom-com extraordinaire! It will definitely be made into a movie. An accident on the subway is captured on a stranger's phone and two New Yorkers become viral internet sensations; they end up drawn together over and over. No surprise, they fall in love. It gives me Nora Ephron vibes and is such a fun read. I read it in one summer day!
