There she conducts research on how some people from the Renaissance era may have tried to see the future using tarot cards. She becomes fast friends with her colleague and entangled with the museum's gardener. When she stumbles upon a secret that could mean a breakthrough in their research, she debates whether to share it with the curator she works for. Then someone is found dead. This is a gripping story sure to please fans of The Secret History, and it even spurred me to buy tarot cards.
